The history of our company dates back to 1971. Then the predecessor company of Metki Kft. was founded in the town of Ada (Vojvodina, Yugoslavia) by Nandor Nemes.

Mr. Nemes has used his experience in the grinding industry to develop new type of rings for cutting and grinding disc production and made the very first steel rings. Before it was produced from aluminum and we were the first company who offered a better alternative for the abrasive industry.

During the years the small company has developed continuously together with the increasing demand for cutting and grinding discs. For the year 1989 the company was working with 28 workers in two shift production with annual capacity of 45.000.000 pieces. Then the production was suitable to satisfy the demand of the inner market and the surrounding countries.

The early 90's brought big changes in the Eastern Europe, especially for Yugoslavia and therefore the owners have decided to start setting up another production facility in Hungary in town of Kecskemét to keep supporting our customers demand. It has happened in 1992 and the Metki Kft. was founded.

Thanks to the continuous development of the second production area this location became the main production site. From middle of the '90s the company focused to build up an independent and own tool production facility. Thanks to that we were able to set up also our own development area strictly linked together with the tooling department.

This step was very important to the company's future development and because of this now we are able to satisfy any delicate request from our customers. We are also able to produce new tools for our own production in very short time which makes us flexible and responsive.

After being able to produce any kind of metal rings and having the possibility to develop new dimensions and constructions the focus went towards to the efficiency. Our company has increased its production level extremely in the next decade which means that now we can cover with our products much wider operating area. At the moment we are able to supply customers in the whole Europe.

Thanks to our long term experience and to the two production areas we are able to produce metal rings for using them on automatic, semi-automatic and even on manual production lines. It means that we are also prepared to supply our customers not only with big volumes, but with very small quantities as well.

Beside of that all our tools are equipped to have possibility of any kind of product marking (validity date, special marking etc.).

Now the company is run by the family of the founder still, ensuring a great combination of the continuous knowledge and ambitious efforts.
